Amazing!

Hello, I´m a mountainner and spanish writer.

The title of mi first novel is "Om, la montaña roja" (Olympus Mons, the red mountain), a mountain history about the first ascent of Olympus in Mars in 2160.

I enjoy a lot your blog and I want to include a link to it in my web.

Stacy:
For me, it was spending most of my day outside not in a space suit. I usually spend about two hours a day walking across campus between classes and back home, so doing that (and passing through doors immediately) just doesn't feel right... Other than that, not worrying about cooking/non-cooking days!

I have been wanting to wish the crew a welcome home from Mars but got distracted with Earth things. I hope you will keep the crew 89 fans informed of all your research efforts. I am especially interested in the sesmic, endolithic, and geotagging studies! I plan on visiting this site often to see your updates.

Now that most of you have been back for a couple of days what is the one thing that is hard for you getting use to again. For me (especially after FMARS) it was walking on asphalt and concrete again...it just did not feel right? ;-)

You guys are my role models and if anyone ask I will tell them to send crew 89 to Mars!

Kiri:
Yes, but unfortunately, like the other cool ones, it's only for Caltech students...

Copy that. I think I have it narrowed to two:
3D Visualization of Solar Storm Propagation from the Sun to Earth
     Time-Dependence of Saturn's Atmosphere from Mid-Infrared Imaging

Did you see the one on direct imaging of extrasolar planets? Cool!

Btw, if you're at all interested, contact the mentors ASAP -- they may already have picked students since there's the proposal-writing process that has to be completed by the deadline, and even after they pick a student the opportunity still stays posted (so no way to know if they're still looking). So (kind of deceptively) you don't have until the deadline to make *your* decision. (But contacting them now isn't a firm commitment, either, just a way to get your name under consideration.)
