A quick <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?newwindow=1&amp;tbm=isch&amp;source=hp&amp;biw=1265&amp;bih=762&amp;ei=9ePFXJqiDtrH0PEP15iWgAw&amp;q=button+art&amp;oq=button+art&amp;gs_l=img.3..0l10.536.1494..1565...0.0..0.81.652.9......0....1..gws-wiz-img.....0.yBSmPbsRdiE\">web search on &#8220;button art&#8221;<\/a> reveals a treasure trove of cool ideas.  After browsing a bit, we sat down with bowls of color-sorted buttons of all sizes, a canvas, and a hot glue gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s the composition I came up with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1009\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291-1009x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4937\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291-1009x1024.jpg 1009w, https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291-148x150.jpg 148w, https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291-296x300.jpg 296w, https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291-768x779.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wkiri.com\/today\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_3291.jpg 1484w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1009px) 100vw, 1009px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s fun to sort through the buttons and figure out how to position them for a particular shape or effect.  It&#8217;s a bit like creating a tile mosaic, except that the pieces are not uniform in size.  To fill spaces, you end up layering buttons on top of other buttons, which gives it a neat three-dimensional quality.  Fun to touch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think this would be a great craft to do with kids, although the hot glue gun makes it better for older kids.  I wonder if a sheet of two-side sticky tape could do as well for younger kids.  And for buttons, apparently you can order them in batches by color (or mixed colors).
